I'd love to answer your question, but those pictures are absolutely horrid for determining what part your asking about.
Looks like a bad boot tear in the CV joint.
Boot goes from around $10. One whole CV joint is $120 if you don't trade in your old one. So if you deposit yours, it'll be $60 each. This is the price according to my 93 civic axles and boot, so yours may be less or more, who knows.

If your going to replace the whole joint, just trade the whole damn axle in. It's right about 60 dollars for Autozone axles with a lifetime warranty, and it's less work to pull the old ones and then pop the brand new ones in.
Just my .02.

I've actually learned a pretty neat little trick about doing it. Get one person to lay under the car and push the axle into the tranny while a second holds pressure on the shaft of the axle. It'll slip right in.

Really? I'd never heard of that, but I'm not saying it's not the case at all. I wonder how much of it is actually that the axles are trash and how much of it could be the workers there are very unskilled and may not know exactly what they're doing when they order things.

OR just put the axle nut on the axle ( just enough to cover the threads) and give it some love taps with a rubber mallot or hammer

ive never had ANY problems with axles going into place. sometimes you just need to pull them out a lil bit and then shove them in. i dont recommend a hammer for this...
