Default Knock sensor woes

I have a obd0 B16 in my crx. And recently it's been throwing a code 23 (knock sensor) so I check the connection on the sensor itself and its broken off. So yesterday I replace the sensor, reset the ecu, and sure enough it's still throwing the code.

I know the reset worked because my distributor took a **** on me a few nights ago and was throwing a code 9 and once I replaced it and the knock sensor it still threw the code 9 and 23. So I reset it and the code 9 went away but not the 23. What else should I check? This is a brand new knock sensor, and I thought it might have just been bad but I tryed one off of a friends car and it still didn't work.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the rest of the wiring?

It got dark when I finished up so I didn't check the wiring. But what am I looking for when I do? Wiring at the ecu? How do I know if it's right?

You'll want to look for a loose connection along the wires running from the knock sensor.
