Default J1 gearing/speeds - how fast at 8000rpms, 4th gear

curious what's the indicated speed at 8000rpms in 4th gear with a J1/S1 gearbox. also, post what size TYRES you were on when this occurred.

I've ran some calculations thru a gearing calculator and have found some unbelievable speeds. So, i'm curious what's indicated vs. mathematical/actual.

I've found calculators saying 123mph at 8000rpms, in 4th, with 235/45-13s.

Hmm, that doesn't seem right. I'm pretty sure I've gone through 4th gear without hitting the speed governor at 117. I'm on a J1 on 195/50/14 Azenis I believe.
