i was thinking about picking up an es oval muffler for a good *** deal, just curious on how the performance handles and the sounds projected? is it loud? i'm hoping for a low deep sporty tone. any suggestions?

You should have no trouble answering all your questions in this thread, also there is a video that someone took that demonstrates the sound.

yeah this muffler is great not to loud and it makes power ( given you have used the right size piping for your application) I got a turbo dynomax muffler and it sounds great unitl I open her up.

You can check out Kteller on HT for exhaust piping kits.

I replaced my canister for an ES oval on my old RSX. Less noisy, looked pretty stock and all my friends like the tone. It was still a little raspy at higher RPMs, probably due to my big piping. I plan to get the muffler again on my next car.

sorry to bring this back from the dead but just have some questions, anyone ever run a ES oval with custom piping w/out a resonator? (with stock cat/high flow cat). I found a good deal on a es oval with piping done to it all the way to the cat, just wodering how it will sound. as stated above (quoted) hes running a 14" resonator but is catless (reason or resonator..??)
