i want to build an ls vtec, i jst got a ls motor and gsr head, i;m looking for instructions or a how to. i did a serch and i can't find what i need. if anyone can help me out or give me a link to a thread they alreayd know of it would be great. i'm looking to find out what i have to do to prep each part to cobine them, i kow about oil lines and head gsakets and all that, but want to know the machining part if any and anything i should be aware of. thanks

 

c-speed.com has a good write up. I'd invest in an ls/vtec kit from golden eagle, all new gaskets (you'll need an ls head gasket), dowl pins or machine the block to fit the head, if you use a girdle (recommended), I'd buy the golden eagle one or if you have a gsr/itr you can get it machined to fit. There's a lot to the ls/vtec project. I wouldn't reccomend doing it on a tight budget, but if you have the time to hunt for deals on parts, you can put one together for a reasonable amount. I've got over 4k in mine. But that's with a lot of goodies
