well, I have a 97 gsr, but messed up my motor pretty bad. I decided to buy a b 16 to save some money. The only problem is that the b 16 i bought is 0bd 1 and my teg is 0bd 2. I know the obd2s have a few more sensors and wires to work with than the 0bd 1 motors.

My real problem is I need to pass smog as soon as i get my car running, but I need to avoid my check engine light from coming on.

Any tips please.

 

you cant downgrade your engine, in california you cant do anything!! just buy a GSR long block. same price as a b16
