Question about d15 power
i ve got a d15b2 ive some work done i/h/e cam and cam gear si tranny mpfi and some otehr **** well today i launched @ 6500 and snapped an axel how much power would i need to be putting out to do this just an estimate. btw i got some falken azenis with c8's at apout 20psi. stock axels from discout auto parts about 2 months old.
hmm, i have a similar d15 setup, except for the cam and cam gear, si tranny etc and i ran a 15.3. depending on what model honda u have, id say u could break 14s with good azenis. i also roll on azenis but there getting old.
id be easy on autozone axles, myne are already clicking and i just replaced them 4-6 months ago. best bet is to get some good axles, either dealership or after market, and yea, sounds liek u have urself a nice setup there.

Don't think about the horsepower. It's the fact that you dumped the inertial energy from the rotating assembly (16 pound flywheel, crankshaft, pistons, rods, pressure plate) instantaneously through a cheap axle made for an economy car.
With that setup I would assume 108 - 110 horsepower.

Your power output should'nt break axles ,discount parts ,you have expect to get what you pay for I,ve seen reman axles out of the box with no grease in them?
Oem axles or interparts new or lobro axle assemblies are the way to go quality control is best . new is better than reman. 10+yrs shop exp.

Dealer axles around here are re-mans from NAPA with the price jacked up 300%.
