Here is my thread from not to long ago. I love my Clifford Matrix alarm. And there has been numerous times that it has paged me in the middle of the night only to see people driving away. But this time it really helped me!!!

I think the prices start around $499.00. But I would also opt for the prox added to the package. It is nice to know if someone ( or something ....sometimes I will admit it is a cat) it around your car at 3 am in the morning.

the pager is over rated and the range is crap

same DEI alarm, comes with that pager, range is 1/4 mile, only good for when ur in ur house, not good at school, or at the movies, inside buildings u don't get paged, it's better then nothing, my brother has a comustart and his range is about 1 mile, it's dam good, inside buildings and ****, the range on the compustar is much better then the DEI pager version, that comes on the Matrix, Vipe 790VXor 791VXE or whatever same with the Phyton 880 same ****, all new DEI, just different names, those guys own like %80 of the alarm world.

It really depends on how they are mounted and what frequency they operate. Higher frequency pagers have a longer range. From personal experience, mine works up to 1/5 mile in an underground parking structure.

Only thing is they are not sold on line, except by authorized dealers, and must be installed to get the lifetime over the counter exchange. 94

I have an audiovox aps-996, 1/3 mile page range. It doesn't work well in schools or buildings w/ thicker walls, but works damn well from my room to the front of the house. This gives me a little piece of mind while I'm sleeping at night, and I would recommend that to anyone who has late night insomnia from worrying about their car in the wee hours.
