Default Stroker kit for B18c5

Anyone stroke their Typey? I'm also considering forced induction. However the sroker kit is about a 1000 bucks less compared to others (roughly). I had no luck with a search on stroking a C5 so I thought I would ask if anyone has done it and if its worth it ? ? ?

instead of trying to stroke the C5 just go buy a LS or B20 block and balance the crank and have it sleeved and bored to 84.5mm. Unless you just want to retain the C5.

You'll get WAAAAAAY more power with FI than stroking.

If power increase is what you are after ----> Forced induction

don't do that cause those motors are not meant to rev like the C5 block. no oil squirters and such.

just get the block sleeved, bore it to 83mm(so you have some wall still if something would happen and you would have to get it re bored) and turbo it.

I already have C5 so lets work with that.

so do both maybe? LOL No one on this board has stroked their 1.8 VTEC to a 2.0 ? ? ? I find that hard to believe. I think I am going to turbo but I imagine if I do both and run 7 PSI I'll prolly have a 400 HP engine (depending on things). That would be insane. I imagine running that much hp I'd have to change other things that didn't come with the turbo kit/Stoker kit.

N E WAYS someone give me the real stats on just stroken to a 2.0 R-VTEC with I/H/E. That would be sweet. Eagle & many of these other companies r saying like an extra 100 crank hp. I dun believe it.

thanks for the advice guys.

O one more thing I'm pretty new on this and like every other post I read people spell VTEC like "vtech" WTF

Oil squirters are used to help cool the cast pistons. If you are running forged pistons you won't need them. I am currently waiting to get my B18C5 block back...85mm. If you are going to sleeve it, go all out.
