Default D15 Crank Vs D16 Crank.

I have seen both crank side by side. (a USDM D15b7 Non VTEC from a 92-95 Civic DX VS a D16A6)
D15 is so much lighter and the crank is noticable smaller.
So theoritically, the D15 crank will have revving advantages over a D16 crank.
The D15 is wimpy looking compared to theD16 crank, but has anyone really heard of any horror stories of a D15 breaking apart?

The market for after market parts for the D15= But if i was to get custom rods and pistons... building the D15 bottom end, would i ahve any advantage over building a D16 Bottom end?

Any ideas will help
