I wanted to get some feedback from all you R owners on what to look out for when purchasing an R. I currently have an 00 Si and am about to sell it to get an R. What year did the front end change? What year did the cam profile become more aggresive? and are there any other differences between the older R's (97-98) and newer ones (00-01)? Also, whats the cheapest price anyone has seen for an R with a clean title? Can an R have a clean title even with a new motor in it?

the differences are all here with a search. As far as a clear title, yes, a replaced short block will still be a clean title. If the car was stolen/totaled out by an insurance company then the motor or other parts replaced to get it on the road, then a salvage title will be the norm. If possible, get the Vin off the potential car and maybe get a service history from your local acura dealer. They will be able to tell you if anything major was ever done. Good luck on that though, it took me 3 years to find out my car had had the **** beat out of it. But she is all better now after much love...
