Default Ls hydro tranny with an aftermarket clutch kit and flywheel vs. 99-00 si tranny with stock clutch?

I have an ls hydro tranny on my GSR and I just wanted to know if I get an ACT clutch kit and street flywheel, will that be a good enough uprade. Or should I just invest in a 99-00 si tranny for the shorter gears. Tell me what you all think.

Do you still have your GSR tranny?? I bet a Ls tranny sucks on the gsr. I would go for the b16

No I don't have it anymore but I wish I did because it seems like these gears suck especially 3rd. So I guess instead of buying an ACT clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, I should just buy a 99-00 si tranny.

go with the b16 cause the gears are to long in the ls and the gsr are would be better than the ls, but the b16 is best

unless you get type r with lsd

Thanks for the info guys. I'm just going to go with the 99-00 si tranny. This ls tranny that I have right now is slow with a gsr motor.
