yea.....nothing is really safer than the other.....what are you looking for, most power, or most effective for the street?
like acur said 4-1 for most power
4-2-1 for all around
like acur said 4-1 for most power
4-2-1 for all around
To clarify that post.....
4-1 will make PEAK power higher in the RPM range
4-2-1 will make PEAK power lower in the RPM range
4-1 will make PEAK power higher in the RPM range
4-2-1 will make PEAK power lower in the RPM range
Go with 4-1 header! When you race, its all about Top end. You'll never be under 3k rpms when you race, so 4-1 headers will be the one. Plus, the top end feels so good with a 4-1 header.
I'm lookin for JDM 4-1 headers. If you got the money, get the JDM.

thanks...but i dunno i think i might hit up the 4-1 cause i do race laot and i do want more power....peace

As for performance gains 4-2-1 headers provide more midrange power over 4-1 headers. 4-2-1 headers don't yield as much peak horsepower as a 4-1 header. If you don't race, you'll probably prefer the 4-2-1. If you do, you'll probably prefer the 4-1. Either way, decided if you value your midrange or top end.

does my car look like it has enough ground clearance for a jdm 4-1 header without scraping? i also plan on getting an apex n1, my car is lowered 1.5 in the rear and 1.75 in the front. i hope thats enough ground clearance.
that looks like enough clearance...unless you like to go off-roading
but i heard ALOT of good stuff about the JDM type R header...plus the fact that
it's tougher as far as if you hit a bump with the DC...it'll dent alot easier...i think
it might be due to the material/construction...once you dent your header...there goes your performance

To pick a header, decide how far you want to modify. If you plan on settling with just bolt-on's I suggest you get the 4-2-1. If you plan on getting aftermarket cams and such, then you certainly want the 4-1 header, but 4-2-1 is good for a bolt-on setup.
nice clean car, nice clean house, nice clean drop, wait... stock rubber?? Curse michelin for even making xgt's (bad wear, bad wet, very noisy)and mxv4+'s (mad $$, bad dry, bad wet), why o' why are they oem??? Schiesty scheme
