HELP, with buying car!!

well, i'm looking at an integra gsr right now with only 87k miles on it. It is a salvage title; air bags came out but there seems to be no frame damage. i don't mind buying a salvage title, the only thing i mind is that the # on the motor was scrap off. It doesn't say b18c1 or has the number below it. The seller says there is nothing wrong with that, and that its okay. I'm pretty sure its not but i just want to know what you guys have to say about it.

Also the price is really cheap and the car runs like a champ. Just love the 3rd gear pull.

I dont know how harsh is your state inspection
but what is the price?
if its a b16 the part of the block that meets w/head will line up w/tranny
if its a b18c1 the block will be about a 1/4 taller than tranny.
does it have vin#
is the car registered allready?

the car does have a vin #, not register or has license. he is asking 5500 but i feel like i can get this for 5000. the car is really clean, inside and out. it also has leather. took the car for a run on the freeway and just fell in love. not the strongest but good enough for me.

so i'm just wondering if there is anyway around it. also does anybody have carfax.

Don't buy it! Salvage title should make the car worth only 40% of its normal value. On top of that it has been in a crash!! I would give him 2k, tops. Especially with the freakin engine vin# scratched off, that is mad sketch, imho. good luck

you could loose your money or get into a lot of trouble...
