I am about to get a turbo timer I was going to get the greddy but had just herd that they do not work well does anyone have any first hand with the two ? pro's and con's
How do they not work well? All they do is countdown and keep your motor on while the key isnt in it? Either would suffice. Some have more "options" than others but either will be ok.
apexi then little pencil thin timer. got it and love it. it is one of the few advertised with e-brake cut off for anti theft. but if the turbo timer you like doesn't have that option email me and I'll let you know how you can get the same type of thing with a simple relay and toggle switch.

I prefer Blitz timers over Greddy or Apexi because it serves as more than just a timer. The one I've liked in the past is the Dual Turbo timer from Blitz that also has a boost gauge built-in. There are a number of models Blitz is selling right now and you might end up liking one of them for its other features.

could you elaborate? what exactly does this do?

basically its a e-brake safety shutoff...the car runs for the designated time set, but if it senses the e-brake disengaging (i'm guessing it hooks up to that e-brake light in the gauge cluster) the car shuts off so that thieves cant just hop in your car and drive off when its still in turbo timer mode.
p.s. instead of spending 100 bucks on a turbo timer, why not just get a viper or compustar alarm that comes with a turbo timer built in...you can get a compustar alarm off ebay for like 220 bucks (comes with 2 way pager remote). This way, you both your car and turbo are safer.

This is a very smart Idea and I recommend more people do it! Too many cars get stolen every day. We need to fight against that
As far as the Apex-i A/F meter, its just a voltage meter! Works just as well as an autometer A/F gauge. Not really any use for it as far a tuning goes.
I personally think the greedy unit is better. Just my opinion from personal experience with both.
