From: hittin corners so hard you can taste my rims..
i brought this box, and amp out of retirement, but im having difficulty with the settings.
it seams, that if i turn the stereo on, it ******* bumps hard as hell, even at low volume, and then once you turn it up more, the mids and highs inside the car come up, and its fine.. but its like you can't hear music at low settings.
another thing, it seams like some songs, usually with good bass.. the amp either protects it self, or has a lack of power? just cuts out? im wondering if the settings are not right?
now.. this was bridged..
today i just rewired the speakers again, and took them off being bridged, and went with LEFT and RIGHT for both speakers.
so, here's a few pics.
any pointers?
settings brightened up.

my buddy FCM PM'ed me this info..
(2:14 PM 10/3/2004) fcm: Most 2ch amps are not stable at 2ohms when run in mono, so you can [like you did ] run in stereo or wire subs in series, 8 OHM load and then mono the amp, by the look of gain on amp, you have lots of room to do this.
To set up turn gain and boost all the way down, using a fave cd, turn volume up on HU as loud as it will go and still give you good clean sound,[ on a scale of 1 to 10 ] around 7 or 8, then back it off 1,[ 6 or 7 ] then then bring gain on amp up till sub bass sounds good,[ set x-over at 100Hz befor you turn gain up] when you get a good balance [lows and highs] fine tune sub bass using x-over and bass boost.
with both speakers on left and rights, "stereo" instead of mono, it sounds much better, it always had great capabilitys, but to me, seams like alittle too much, now, its more mellow, and sound is very deep and pure. sounds great!
thanks FCM.
