Default trouble after installing new axles

I installed my new set of axles today in my teg. Now I have a bad front end vibrition when excellerating. I pulled my wheels off and everything looks okay. I cant figure out what the problem is. I had trouble getting the driver axle seated into the half shaft. I'm woundering if the c-clip caught. Do you think it would cause this tpe of vibration if it didnt. Any sugestions on what to check?

These are auto zone remans so i'm wondering if maybe the part itself is bad.

I know this is a stupid question but is the axle nut tighten down. The axle nut tightens the hub to the wheel bearing and if it isnt tight enough it will vibrate like a som bitch. I know from experience

make the its in the tranny all the way. I just saw someone here locally who didnt put the axle in all the way. When he tightened it up with an impact it pulled the axle out.

i will check the axle nuts in the morning. I used an impact but it wasnt mine, so who knows how stout it was. is there a good way to tell if the axle isnt seated properly? I would think it would clunk or be fairly noticeable.

to test if axle is too long . take off lower ball joint off lower control arm then check to c how much plays it has. fromm the center of ball joint to the center hole of lower control arm should be about .5 to 1 inch but not more the 1 inch.

I don't use impact wrench to tighten my axles, I use torque wrench @150lbs. If u use impact, it'll probably weaken it. that's Gator axle told me.

I've never NOT used an impact and not broken anything.

It's all about Pep Boys Axles, heh.

I spoke with Glen from Gator Axles a couple months ago. He impressed me with his knowledge of the topic and his commitment to taking care of his customers. I would give him a call Monday and I would be he will be able to help you out. Good luck.

We would use his product if they offered axles in our HP/Torque range.

shouldn't the trans be leaking oil all over the place too? also.. when you put the axles into the diff the locking clips should "snap" in so you know they're in all the way.. sometimes i use a rubber mallet on them to make sure they have clicked in.

we had a problem with this with a different brand of aftermarket axles and when we took the axle back off we rolled the joint around and the outer joint had a spot that felt like it binded up. We sent it back and they sent us a new and the axle never did it again. Did you talk to your distributor and ask him/her what they thought?

checked the axles for tightness. Its tight. So i'm going to replace them again and see what happens. I think its the driver side thats vibrating but its hard to tell.

PS I had a brain fart when I posted this. I sold my gators, These are just vato zone axles
