jdm itr tranny with 4.7 final drive?
what is the 4.7 junk?
it will be on a stock ls longblock but is this tranny atleast going to give me decent gas mileage on the highway cruizing at 80?

Think of the final drive like a rear end in a V-8 car, it has the same effect. A 4.7 vs the USDM 4.4 is a higher FD and will make all of the gears shorter, if they were the same that is. However, the JDM 4.7 tranny has different gear ratios in 4th-5th which makes it almost identical to the USDM tranny for daily driving.
ITR tranny on an LS engine would sure be helpful, but if you do a lot of highway driving you might want to think about it. At 70-75mph you'll be crusing around 4,000rpm.

Even after you go turbo, the ITR tranny is a wise decision.

indeed. quicker gears are always a must no matter how much power you make. unless you are going for some top speed runs...which i dont recommend in a front wheel drive honda.
