I read that article a few years ago and was very impressed! I actually had the pleasure of meeting Larry at his shop in Ft. Worth when I used to live in Houston...

Let me tell you his place was awesome! He had an immaculate engine building room and all the machining equipment you could think of...
The HP figures given are probably from his Engine Dyno which is also VERY IMPRESSIVE since they didnt have a chassis dyno when i was there...

After seeing everything there and talking to larry for about 2 hours, I believe in his work 100%...He has been building engines for like 40 years! He did nascar AND worked for ROGER PENSKE doing R+D...
And dont get me started on his 13:1 b20/vtec. I think it made in the neighborhood of 300 HP(flywheel) on pump gas...He even made his own knock sensing computer that uses the gm knock sensor...The guy is a genius

It does look rather big to be a SOHC head.

 

i seen the guy at the local street scene with his "300 hp" integra...supposely it made that much power but it wasnt even broken in yet...it even used his theory of "Ruins People's Motors" to make power...the thought you you wanna race was shut down by his swarm of followers...until i see his *** at the track...all his stuff is still bs...im juss tired of seeing that article of hot rod being posted because that car is supposely the first car to use wheelie bars and the video of it runnig around on the street makes it look like a mere 13 second car...
