Default wrist pin lock installation ?

on JE pistons w/eagle rods, the pins slid right in but i have no clue how to get the locks in. they're not the spirally kind, theyre just a single circle thats supposed to i guess "slip in the groove" (according to the instructions) but i can't get them in and it says not to bend them... anyone know how it's done?

what do u mean? theyre just circles with a gap in them, you can press it together to make it fit but the instructions say in big capital bold letters NOT to press/squeeze it together, it should glide into the groove but there's no way to do that..

does anyone with experience know how to do this???
