Having a boost creep issue......anyone Tial wg valve ever stick on them??
This is a Tial 40mm gate. For some reason out of nowhere im having a boost creep issue. Im running off the wastegate spring, so no possibility of a faulty boost controller. I check the vacuum line going to it with no problem---its plumbed into its own port on the intake manifold.
The only change I have made is that I moved the vacuum source over to the end of the plenum so that I could put my AEM 3.5bar map sensor in the plenum for best map readings. I thought i was having the problem before I put the sensor in and now the creep is just getting worse.
For some reason I think the valve inside the gate is sticking, its my only guess. The shitty thing is that I run the FR manifold and its a total pain in the *** to remove it off the manifold for inspection.
Has anyone had this happen before and what did you do to fix it?

Hey dan not sure if you saw this post. But Bodykits NW was having issues with his 44 Tial.

Have you tried running a vac source off the turbo? I do know on my Deltagate that first thing in the morning, the first time I hit boost it will go about 2lbs higher than it's set at but after that it's fine.

I have run race gas through the car on several occasions. C16 and sunoco 116 recently. Why do you ask? Do you think there may be lead deposits or something like that in the gate?

That is why your wastegate is sticking, the Tial wastegate is made of lesser quality stainless. Once you start running race gas, deposits will start collecting on the valve.
take a look at the Turbosmart Ultragate. It is made entirely of 253ma stainless. It will never collect deposits and is investment cast so it will never rust on the outside.
