Does this sound like a good way to combat the high intake manifold temperatures? Ive heard some guys running civics and integras are using about a 30 shot of nitrous for extra power and to help cool intake manifold temps. The intercooled effect ends producing even more power then 30 because of drastic reduction in temperature. Im also trying to gauge what one can do after a JRSC and bolt ons. JRSC reccommends using stock cams and the boost cant really be upgraded so I feel this would be a good way to make a daily driven Lude run mid to low 13's. Wonder if they bottom end can handle it though?
I have a 50 shot at the moment, but to be honest, it never gets used. I think that 6psi on a stock engine is enough stress for a daily driver.
You can upgrade pulleys on the jrsc to increase boost.

Couldn't you possibly get an aftercooler or intercooler for a blower? i know its been kinda of discussed already, most of the stock blowers on these new "ions" and the new tC thats coming are intercooled, i believe even the new mini's that blown have them. I heard that the jrsc get really really hot in the engine bay
JR has no intercooler for the prelude....i would assume you could do a custom, but it would be hard.
Perhaps buying a teg liquid intercooler and doing a custom job, the intercooler is about 600 bones, but if you could do it custom, that would be the way to go if it were me.
yeah i just looked, they give instruction on how to custom install the water intercooler in other applications than just civics or tegs. Just remember to fill your windshield wiper resivior with water, and top it off at every fill up. They said the water intercooler will use about a quart of water for every tank you use, at super hard driving, it used two quarts. You have a 4 quart in your car, and would be ok. I bet you could even do a custom water tank too, and keep your wind sheild wiper fluid.
eh well....food for thought.

An intercooler for the JRSC would be awesome, as they do get pretty damn hot. I've been toying with a few ideas to try and fab a custom cooler for it, but haven't actually tried yet.
