Ok peeps.. I am trying to put some boost back into my life but I keep sunning into problems. Who here runs a GE fuel rail with AN fitting adapters? It looks like my -4 to 18mm 1.5pitch adapters might cause come cavitation problems. Has anybody experienced any problems?




I do not want to weld the fittings to the rail so I plan to trim the nipple off (about 12mm) of each fitting. Hopefully this willl work. If you look at the blurry 2nd pic you will see how the nipple on the fitting almost covers the inlet for the end injectors. I need to get this **** fixed because I have been driving a 660cc K-truck that is geared like a tractor.

I know somebody is going at ask... I can not find the OEM fitting and plug for the rail because I bought this thing more than a year ago and I had planned to use AN fittings for the very beginning.

Why is that nipple there, what does it do?

 

The adapter fittings are some weird *** power steering adapters. If I remember correctly the threads on the GE barb fitting were really short. Maybe only 4 or 5 threads deep. These AN fittings seal with an O-ring so hopefully I will not have any problems.

 

You can't buy different ones?

 

why not just tap it to an NPT and you can use a normal fitting

 

problem solved... I use an air powered saw to hack off the needed 12mm.

Geoff... did you forget where I live? metric stuff is easier to locate.

 

How old is your GE rail ?

The new ones uses -8AN O-ring boss thread.

Stan.... it's a bout a year old but I can also use -8 lines if I get the -8 to 18mm adapter. My setup uses -6 and I see no need to go with -8. Street + "less than" 1/8mile track on an island that is 60 miles long from top to bottom = no need for outrageous HP.
