Default Code 8 at high rpms.... wtf?

So I got ALL of my codes taken car of today, and took my car for a spin. Decided to push it a little bit and took it to 7000-7200, felt like I hit the rev limiter (I don't do this often so dont jump in my **** about that), and the CEL came on.... TDC Sensor code. So I went and pulled off to the side of the road, turned the car off, and no more code. Anyone know what's up? Does this just happen when you hit the rev limiter?

your timing could be off
check it, reset the ecu and see if it comes back

Timing is not off GARUNTEED.

Also, to reset the CEL all I have to do is shut the car off and it goes away.

no, unplug the negative for the battery for 20 seconds and plug it back up...make sure you have the radio code first before you do that

Been over it a million times. No code when normal driving, only that time I think I hit rev limiter. Also, code goes away with just restarting the car, as in turning the key off and then restarting NOT RESETTING THE ECU.
