Default Will Skunk2 Intake Manifold throw codes?

I know the skunk2 IM doesnt use the second butterfly, but the second butterfly has a sensor attached to it, and I hear that it doesnt use the egr valve system, so wouldnt that trigger codes? Just wondering...... any help would be appreciated, thanx.

On an OBD-2 car, if you dont leave the EGR plugged in, yes you will throw a code.

I did tons of other crap to my car,so, as a result i have no EGR code to throw with an OBD-1 ECU

I have an obd1 setup, so how would you go about killing the egr and second butterfly sensors? Do you just unplug them?

OBD-1 computers never included EGR capabilities. Just pull the thing off, same when you uninstall the iabs. Secondaires dont throw a code

Soon as you swap manifolds, your finished. EGR gone iabs gone.

Actually, it isnt. To tell you the truth, you are going to hate your life installing this manifold. There is also this huge skunk2 intake manny thread, this will probably either be moved there or deleted/locked.

I dropped 2 manifold bolts pulling the stock manifold off, it took me 3 hrs to find 2 bolts, lol. good luck. Label everything you pull off, and make sure you relieve fuel pressure first and recoat the injector seals with fresh motor oil.

YES, do that. If you got the motor out of the car, you may as well. It may not clear the firewall, so if you have the head off put it on the head then put the head on.

Trail and error my friend.
