I have a 95 civic with a 2000 b16a2 swap, since the motor was put in I had a code #1 cel. Primary 02 sensor code... I replaced the 02 sensor(did not fix) replaced computer(did not fix) traced all the o2 sensor wires in harness and found green with white stripe to have a break in the wire, repaired wire and replaced chipped p28 ecu with jspec p30....STILL HAS CEL #1...I will except any suggestions

 

The O2 sensor wiring is very sensitive to the slightest things. How exactly did you repair the break in the wire? The only method I've found that works is to either solder and heat shrink, or just replace the complete wire.

I had to go thru several 02 sensors before getting it to work right. I ended up having to use a Denso 02 sensor. Same thing with my girlfriend's car.

I soldered and heatshrinked a new wire in. I am familiar to how sensitive honda sensors are to resistance. I now also have a code 36 traction control code since i am using the jdm ecu...how do I remedy that?

 

did u reset the ecu?

Any idea on how to get rid of the traction control code?

 

Change ECU is all I can suggest on that one.

 

humm yeah check the wiring as much as you can, if no still try making a new seperate harness and then just hardwire it in, tho the sensor wire DOES have to be shielded.

What country you from? Your Civic has traction control?

 

I am from the U.S. but i Have a jdm p30 ecu but we dont have traction control here thats why its pulling the code........I am beginning to hate this car....I went through the entire harness last put in a new 02 sensor and computer...still has code #1......Does anyone know if obd1 02 sensors are different than obd2( can you put a obd2 02 sensor in a obd1 car and it work?)
