b16a intake size/throttle body question.
I was recently told that my intake was too small for my motor. The intake is an AEM 2.5 inch and does look a tad small, but i did a little math. I believe the stock b16a throttle body is 60mm, and since that intake is 2.5 inches... that would be the equivelint of 63.5mm. Therefore the intake is actually bigger than the throttle body (even though it appears that the the intake cupling gets smaller on the intake versus the tb) and the intake size is just fine. Am i correct is saying this? Anyone have dyno numbers of a 3'' short ram versus a 2.5''? Do i have the right size? Thanks.

u got the cold air or what ....who told you ur 2.5 AEM is "TOO SMALL" for ur motor?
take him out and shoot him....yes true most intake these day man 3" put look the the silicon hose that connect the intake's end to TB...it likes oval from 3" down to 2.5 to TB....this oval help increase air velocity to your engine
your 2.5 AEM is fine man...imagine ur stock motor intake oh god...ur AEM is TOO SMALL then your stock is "WAY TOO SMALL OR USELESS?" no no man....your is fine very efficient....im running AEM 2.5 Cold air intake for GSR it works great...unless you want better than get AEM v2 or short ram 3",,,but cold air is the way to go
