Default b16a intake size/throttle body question.

I was recently told that my intake was too small for my motor. The intake is an AEM 2.5 inch and does look a tad small, but i did a little math. I believe the stock b16a throttle body is 60mm, and since that intake is 2.5 inches... that would be the equivelint of 63.5mm. Therefore the intake is actually bigger than the throttle body (even though it appears that the the intake cupling gets smaller on the intake versus the tb) and the intake size is just fine. Am i correct is saying this? Anyone have dyno numbers of a 3'' short ram versus a 2.5''? Do i have the right size? Thanks.

Hi, dunno about your other questions but I've measured a stock B16a throttle body and its 62mm tapered to 60.5mm. (Air intake pipe side 62mm, intake manifold side 60.5mm)

62mm is the internal diameter, and since I have manage to get mine bored to 64++mm, I believe the external diameter is about 66-67mm, which might explain why the throttle body seems 'bigger' than the intake pipe.
