Default b20b or b18b turbo'ed t3/t4

I have a 94 ls turbo. I have had the fmax t3/t4 ball bearing turbo kit with the dual lucos 450 cc inlet injectors with ignation, avcr, fuildine, fmic for about 15,000 miles in a short period of 6 months with daily 13 psi or .85 kmg on stock b18b with no internal work. It ran great but after I over rev'ed to 9600 a couple times by sling shotting the rpm by missing a gear and over boosted to 1.5 bar once, the compression is 1st 175, 2nd 50, 3rd 120, 4th 100 its been beat and has seen a better day. I am going to eventually build a stroker motor to boost but for now I want another stock one to drive on till I get a motor built.

I have a b18a1 from a friend with 80k on it that ran great its out of a 93 ls auto. But I have got a friend with a b20b jdm thats supper clean and I have some spare ls intake and cams I was wondering how much stronger would a b20b be over a b18b with same boost 13? I ran a 13.44 @ 114mph with 13psi on the b18b with a quaife lsd in an LS tranny , cm stg 3, 8# fly, downpipe only, avcr and 23" slicks with 10psi in themand no suspension work completly stock even height. what would the b20b run with same setup and psi or could it take more boost because of lower 8:8 cr vs 9:2?? I already bought the b18a for 300 bucks and can get the b20 for 660. what would u guys do and how would it perform. hp est for either setup I never got it dyno'ed

i'm im the same boat, just dont know what motor to go with. But I have seen some pretty impressive numbers with b18b booted, and they are pretty damn strong too.

Trapping 114 mph you should be running a 12.4, not a 13.4. I would worry about other things besides power like suspension, tires, etc... Oh and b20 blocks have weak sleeves, so don't get one if your planning on going turbo.

I agree about other things. Like I said it was on a stock suspension I have got a tokico illumina R coilovers , skunk2 frnt and rear camber, front strut, rear strut, front lower tie, rear lower tie bar sense then .
But the motor has lost alot of compression so its unable to run thoughs numbers anymore. Thus the question would the b20b give me better hp with t3/t4 ? or would it not be worth it. like I sayed I have a b18a out of a 93 with less then 100k on it and I can throw it in the but was considering getting the b20b instead and selling it and didnt know if it was worth the 600 dollar difference?
