Default need help buying a car

hey wuts up people I searched everywhere but didnt find nothing, I'm buying a 4 door ( guy says is a GS-R ) but there is a catch to it, the guy had a complete gs-r set up with boost but he blew the motor and he threw in a LS motor but he says the transmission is a GS-R, is there anyway that I could check to make sure it is a GS-R tranny

s-80 should be on the tranny near the engine code. That is the gsr tranny code.

Y80 is the GS-R tranny code, but seriously, don't buy that car - there are much better Integras out there. You don't need to buy a GS-R with an LS motor and beat up GSR tranny.

well the other catch is that, he is installing a b20 built for the price he is asking the only reason why he has the LS in there is so I could use it to go to work but if I buy it he will install the motor for free becaise of the price he is asking he is asking 5000.00 for it with the b20, he is a mechanice for auto-trix in west palm beach
