Or $166/each (4 people) to drive out there for 10 hours each (stops and jams included) crammed into my hatchback...... that price includes tickets but not food, cruising, shopping, etc money.

I think we'll be driving. Anyone around the East TN area have a spare full size with 205/50/15 I could borrow for the trip?

I'm going, same flight as lanceh, staying with friends out there.

I know dave ror and co and RJ and co were talking about going, but I dont know if they are going for sure. There's a few threads with who is actually going somewhere in this forum and the RR/Autox forum.

AFAIK, all the MW/EC people who are going are flying. My flight is on american - bought the ticket in august for $172.xx. Better start lookin fast... flying is definitely going to be cheaper than driving from TN.

 

Hmmm. I guess I can wait until the summer to take a pic of my car on that cliff that overlooks L.A. that is in all of the movies.....

I'll look for tickets as soon as I get done doing my "homework."

-Priority registration for Auto Cross, Dyno Challenge and Audio Challenge,

-Special VIP parking right by the Speedway entrance. (no lines, no long walk, better SECURITY for your car.)

-One 20x20 covered tent for each registered car club. It can be used to hang out, barbecue, dance or anything else you can think of. (I will even provide a bbq LUNCH. I have an idea for entertainment as well... it'll be a surprise.)

-Participation in the Fan Lap around California Speedway. Pre-registered car club members will get to do a lap around the Auto Competition Course, the same configuration used for the JGTC race. Speeds are limited so this is more an hour-long party on wheels.
(with a couple THOUSAND ppl coming, what do you think your chances of getting IN CAR demonstration laps without preregistration that comes with being part of the car club group?)

-Possibly a free event T-shirt. (hey that'll be worth $15 right there...)
