Ok, so for all those who are interested and planning on attending, please sign in here to let us all know. Apparently theres a group buy for "car clubs" that includes reserved parking close to the gate and 20x20' covered meeting area (in a separate area) plus some other perks for $65 for the whole weekend, just $15 over the usual $50 full weekend price. We need at least 20 ppl to make it happen. You dont have to join the group buy if you dont want to, but you can just let us know youll be there.

The official deadline for registering as a club is Oct 31, but in order to organize everyone, lets all please sign in by Oct 17.

If you plan on bringing a friend in your own car, then it makes sense to just buy 1 ticket with the group and a regular weekend pass for your friend to get the reserved parking spot. 1 group ticket, 1 parking spot.

Also, judging from the event map, the "car club" area is located behind the grandstands. My guess is this is where the 20x20' tent will be setup. The reserved parking will be separate, probably within the normal spectator parking area but close up to the gate as mentioned, so dont expect covered parking, just a reserved spot with less of a walk to the event.

i spoke with the event director and he said it will be possible to transfer your already bought general tickets to our car club buy. payments can be made individually or to me directly. we can handle all the accounting. its gonna get a bit confusing sorting out the handling charges and delivery fees. but in general for those who havent paid for a ticket yet, id like to have everyone pay me first. the group tickets will be mailed to me, then I will distribute.

let me remind you all, that you really only need 1 "car club" ticket for each PARKING SPOT. so if youre coming with friends in the same car, then you obviously only need one ticket thru the car club to park your car. but only that one ticket is valid for whatever extra car club benefits (tshirt, event priority, whatever).

Please update your replies. Add a new line if youve already paid for a GENERAL ticket. THIS IS LAST WEEK TO COMMIT. I will contact you guys shortly.

For those who have not paid for a ticket yet, you can either PAYPAL me () with a NON-credit card payment or send me a check. i'll email you my address. I'll need payments by the end of the week, at least in the mail.

For those who already bought one or more tickets, just email me and let me know how many general tickets youve already bought and how many car club tickets you want transfered. We'll sort out the difference and how to pay more once we figure it all out.

I've been to JGTC in 2002 and 2004 here in Malaysia (Sepang Circuit). It is EXCELLENT!!

No regrets at all! Please, please, PLEASE do not miss the chance to go see JGTC. Tell your friends too.

List of what you get with being part of a car club:

-Priority registration for Auto Cross, Dyno Challenge and Audio Challenge,

-Special VIP parking right by the Speedway entrance. (no lines, no long walk, better SECURITY for your car.)

-One 20x20 covered tent for each registered car club. It can be used to hang out, barbecue, dance or anything else you can think of. (I will even provide a bbq LUNCH. I have an idea for entertainment as well... it'll be a surprise.)

-Participation in the Fan Lap around California Speedway. Pre-registered car club members will get to do a lap around the Auto Competition Course, the same configuration used for the JGTC race. Speeds are limited so this is more an hour-long party on wheels.
(with a couple THOUSAND ppl coming, what do you think your chances of getting IN CAR demonstration laps without preregistration that comes with being part of the car club group?)

-Possibly a free event T-shirt. (hey that'll be worth $15 right there...)

So there are no support races for the JGTC? I only see drifting and a "time attack"... could anybody explain the latter to me?
