Default 93 EX NON-ABS front brakes

after having some trouble with passing VA safety inspection because of my rotors and pads, ive found the need to change them out. money is somewhat limited although id be willing to spend more if it meant better in the long run.

so...

do you all think it would be a good idea to pick up brembo blanks in the 10.3" teg/si hatch/ex/lx with ABS size as opposed to the smaller ones i believe my car comes with (correct me if im wrong there)? or should the factory size be ok? also.. if i were to go to larger rotors, would that mean i need to upgrade to the calipers from those cars also? the information ive found while looking around was a little vague.. so if anyone could enlighten me it would help a lot. i know the rear disc conversion is also an option at this point, since im moving on to a GC/AGX setup as well as some new wheels (buddy club p-1) and will have everything taken apart, but im not really sure if its worth the money in braking or if the look is where the money goes.

just wondering what some ideas were. the front rotors and pads are mandatory though, because that REJECTION sticker in my windshield is mocking me.

thanks in advance, h-t always has useful input

i believe the 93 ex's came with the integra sized rotors but with smaller calipers. just stick with OEM replacement.

If you want better braking power, than just get the civic's replacement rotor and get integra calipers.

The next size up would the the accord/ITR/legend 11.2" rotors/calipers!

i plan on getting OE replacement brembo, i just wasnt sure which size because the site im buying from has seperate listings for the si hatch/ex/lx w/abs and the ex w/o abs. also, any info on good pads? i assume oem is the top contender here as well. gotta love honda!

Non-ABS 92-95 Si's and 93-95 EX's came with 9.5" front rotors.

ABS-equipped 92-95 Si's and 93-95 EX's came with 10.25" front rotors. Same as RS/LS trims of the Integra's.

If you're going to go with the IT-R 5-lug setup, you can only use calipers from a 91-97 Accord Wagon (if IT-R's are unavaialbe). And rotors from a 97+ Prelude (if IT-R's are unailable) can be used.

he's asking if he could put the 10.25" rotors in the front w/out having to modify anything or get new calipers to accomodate the bigger rotors. bump cause i'd like to know to. i have a ex w/out abs too

this post seemed to have most of the answers i needed. checking the FAQ instead of doing random searches about brakes wouldve saved me quite a headache. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=152884

Then it must have been changed sometime before.

I have a 95 DX hatch (non-ABS), just sold my 94 Si (ABS-equipped), gave my little bro' my 97 LS Integ' (ABS-equipped), and my girlfriend has a 94 EX coupe (non-ABS). Go to Honda for the part #'s or any OEM parts store. If you still don't believe it, bring a tape measure with you. I even had to show the guy at the dealership that there was a difference in diameter when he wouldn't take it from me. So, I brought a tape measure and measured it in front of him.
