i have a jdm b16a i went to change the oil pan gasket but when i took it apart there was no gasket. It was just a piece of steel that fit perfectly on the oil pan with all the same holes as the rubber gasket. does anyone have any idea what this is? please help

have no idea what that is but I would just put a new gasket

 

Never seen that, the only thing i could think of is the old gasket just hardened up from age. Scrap it off and put a new one on
