Default Brake shims

Anyone know where I can get just the brake shims for a 98 prelude. I called everywhere today (kragen, auto zone etc.) and everyone is telling me they only come with the brake pads. Had the brakes done at a local shop and the idiots didn't put them back on and can't find them at the shop. Thanks.

I don't have the shims on my pads, haven't put them on since they came off with the stock pads.

That was 2 years ago.

Yeah, I wasn't using shims with the oem pads either but I just installed some axxis ultimates and they are loud as hell. I need to apply brake quiet but I need the shims to apply the compound to.

As for the link, I found a plethora of brake shims but they are not listed by front, rear, right, etc. Can anyone help me out with some part numbers? I would greatly appreciate it.

I checked Helms, didn't find any actual part numbers.

Try Napa. When I did my brakes they sold either pads with shims and just the shims themselves. They were like $5. front , $5 back.

I don't think they have seperate part numbers as they come as a set they are given a part number as a complete set, if you look at this link :

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...2C+FR.

Scroll to BRAKES FR

They are referrred to as shim A & B (Inner) no's 10 & 11 on diagram and shim pad (outer) no.13 on diagram.
