change pads isn't that big of a deal but a shop will probably charge you like it is!

a helms manual shows you everything you need to know

hopefully you didn't screw anything up by waiting so long...

Rotors are gonna feel lovely when you brake after you're done...

Get them resurfaced

You might need to get your rotors turned. If they have grooves in them take it to a brake shop and have them do the whole thing if not its fairly easy to do a brake job yourself. I would use oem parts by the way.

yea, get the rotors turned, and if you have a c-clamp to compress the piston, then it isnt hard to change the pads at all, and once youve got the caliper off and the pads out, you can take the rotors off and take them up to a local shop and they can resurface them for about $15-$20 a rotor.

it takes about 10 mins to get the caliper off and just pop out the old pads and put in the new ones. Not counting the time to jack it up and take off the tire.

i change my brakes for the first time, the shop wants $125 for it so i decided to do it myself. i check my rotors and they were fine.

$30 bucks for brake pads, $11 bucks for shims and $2.50 for anti-squeal stuff.
it took me about an hour and i had a haynes manual. its not that hard. peace

it takes about 10 mins to get the caliper off
More like 1 minute if the bolts come off righ away, 30 minutes if they dont.

Changing pads is so simple.
1. Remove lower caliper bolt and flip caliper up.
2. Pull out old pads and replace with new pads.
3. Compress piston back in with a C-clamp.
4. Pull down caliper and replace lower caliper bolt.

Simple as that. Any monkey with a wrench can do it.

hey, silversleeper, where did you buy your shims?

I need a set of break shims for 3rd gen Integra.
Shims alone are on national back-order and I've checked with Pepboys and Autozone. Neither places carrys them.

At the Acura dealer, they have the break pads in stock, but I already bought a set of AEM brake pads.
