If a thief really wants it they will take it. It doesn't matter what you do.
Whatever you do happen to do is just a deterant and not 100% effective.

The best thing to do in my opinion money/effectiveness-wise is multiple kill switches on different things. The more different things you add the better, as each will slow down the theif and make your car not worth the risk.

agreed. hidden kill switches work well. my car was recently stolen, and i didn't have any kill switches...but i learned my lesson now.

You search

Anyways, keep your car in a garage at all times, along with all the basic security.

i saw this crazy theft deterrent from south africa on tv once it was a metal bar that swings out from under the door area and breaks their legs. personally i think its a good idea because not only do you keep your car you save other peoples' cars. how it works i dont know and i dont think it would fly in the USA anyway. just a thought.

as gay and totally messed as it is, if you were to harm the thief with something like this you would probably get into trouble for assault with booby traps or something. our country gives too many rights to crooks. in our country they could actually sue you.
this is the only thing that middle eastern countrys have on us. the manner in which they handle criminals is more fitting. over there it is "hey if a guy's hand has problems stealing things, just chop it off. " or as i have seen before (on video), if a guy rapes a girl, totally forget him being thrown into jail. instead, it is "give the girl's brothers and her father all AK-47's and let them empty full 30 rd. clips into the molester!" hey it is fun for the whole faimly like a Milton Bradley game.

if it were up to me i would have some sort of device that when the door is opened and they stick their head into my car, a couple of 12 gauge shotguns in the back would be triggered to "repel" them from my car. hey a blown out and bloody windshield may cost $300 to replace, but giving a thief what he deserves would be priceless...

alarm backed up by manual kill switches.
take out the lock mechanisms get lx rear door handles and keyless entry.
self powered sirens and a remotely mounted battery
if they want your car theyll have to break a window climb in and tow it away while the siren is blaring.

i have allways thought of a colt .45 behind the driver seat rigged up to a kill switch and remote ignition like the distributor. if the thief hot wire's the car turning on the ignition it will complete a circuit though a turned on kill switch and actavate a solonoid on the triger. the gun fires and if the bastard is lucky it wont kill him but puncture a lung or somthing. bet he wouldint steal any else soon.

another idea i had was to rig up a spring-ed neddle triggered by the same solenoid as above but would pop up in the guy's ***** and the needle would be hooked up to 7 or 8 ignition coils . fried meat ***** any one

or maybe when an intruder enters the car, a nice stream of **** from a female dog (in heat) squirts on them. then three horny sex-starved pit bulls would be released from the rear hatch, resulting in a hardcore mauling.

Yes. taliban did it that way. they took the criminals to the soccer field in kabul or kandahar and the mullah would pronounce the sentence and then the family of the victim was given a weapon and allowed to execute the sentence....

However... in many moslem contries the raped female family member is executed by the men in her family to remove the stain upon family honor..

so i guess islam and sharia law has its good points and its bad points....

I have quite a few things on my car, selfpowered screamers are my favorite, it just hurt when they went off when my battery died and I had no idea how to stop them I do now thankfully.

If you are dead serious about trying to save it, and money isnt really much of a concern, I'd look into a GPS that allows tracking online, or by some other means. But there really isnt much you can do if they tow it away. It would need to be turned on somehow...
