Default tial wg and turbo xs mbc hook up...????

I did a search but i found mixed instructions on what to do. Some said the top inlet on the wg is for the mbc and the side is for vacuum. This is how i have it hooked up currently the mbc on top inlet and vac and side. But when i try to turn the boost up i get less psi on the boost gauge that when it is closed.

Am i just supposed to tee the mbc on the side vac line of the tial wg instead of running it to the top inlet? THanks.
