if you sand down the welds on a turbo manifold,would it effect the strength of the manifold?thanks

 

Like most things, it depends. How large the weld is to start with, whether the joint had a "V" ground in it before it was welded (meaning, full penetration.) How much material you remove (it's easy to remove too much and "opps.") And finally is the original welded on both sides of the flange. You're probably find to remove "some" amount for appearance, just stop when it's just enough.
