Hi guys..
I just saw this pic of a usdm rear tail light and i pretty like how it lights up.. I have a JDM itr and the rear tail light doesn't have the side little light in it like the usdm. Do you think it is possible to fit a bulb to make it similar? Or i'm risking to ruin the taillamp? I alredy took it off to see if there is a hole for a bulb but there isn't..

I want it like this..

Way to add to the topic.

Jdm 98spec R, check your jdm taillights, there should be a socket for the side "wedge" bulbs (194). Are you sure yours aren't blown?

If you do not have a hole where you want the little sidemarker wedge, then it would be easy for you to pick up a set of USDM tail lights very cheaply.

I'm also sure that you'd be able to get a USDM owner to trade tail light assemblies with you if you have amber or yellow turn signals.

It's hilarious. Whatever your market car came with, you always want the other guy's version.

I took the tail lamp off and there isn't no bulb. there is a place molded in it but there;s no hole,and no wiring harness!
I'm afraid that when i fit the bulb, light wouldn't pass through the taillamp.

and it's way too difficult to trade it with a usdm one.. I can't afford to stay for 2 weeks without the rear taillamps!!!

any more help pls?

 

JDM Tail lights do not have provisions for those corner lights. You'll need to pick up a set of US version tail lights.

Like George said, I'm sure you won't have a problem finding someone that will trade with you.

Edit: If you can't afford to be without them while making a trade, buy a set of US ones from someone, then you can sell the JDM ones to offset the cost.

 

haha yea i think thats funny too i didnt want those bulbs in mine so i just took the bulbs out now you want to add the bulbs in yours........... but to answer the question just find some usdm tails

i think your best bet would be to just buy a new set, and swap them with yours. you can get them for a pretty nice price these days.

you have a jdm itr and want the usdm taillights? i'd opt for the ukdm tails. what GK about people wanting other people's version is so true.
