No v-tec engagement, and redline is at 6800
What's up everyone?
I just finished swapping a H22A into my 1995 Accord. The car runs perfectly fine, the car idles fine. The car runs like a champ, but theres a problem.
Problems:
1. When I decide to push it, rather Redlining at 7200 rpm, it only redlines at 6800 rpm.
2. Also, my v-tec doesn't engage. When Im climbing the rpm's, and when I get to 5500 ( v-tec engagement ), I don't feel the pull, or hear the v-tec.
My friend has the same swap, but his car redlines at 7200 rpm, and his v-tec engages at 5500.
I check the ECU, but it wasn't the ECU. I tried my buddy's ECU, and same results. No v-tec engagement, and Im still redline at 6800 rpm.
My buddy's ECU is a JUN Chipped P13 ECU. The ECU has a 9400 rpm rev limit. So, it can't be the ECU's.
3. Also, everytime I pull up my E-brake, my ABS light comes on.
Well, those are my problems with my swap, I don't know what to do. Could it be from the poor wiring, bad wires from the disturbtor, or my v-tec solenoid?
If threes anyone, who had the same problem, please help, or if anyone know what could be wrong. I appeciate the help. Thanks.

the engine needs to be warmed up, when its cold, vtec wont enage and will also cause premature redline.
If the engine is warmed and your not throwing any codes, i cant help ya

I had this problem on my prelude before. V-tec won't kick in if there is a low level of engine oil in the tank. My engine is supposed to have 4.8L of oil but i ended up putting around 2.5L of oil to bring the level back to normal. That means 2.5L of oil was gone. Afterwards, I checked engine oil level once a week. So please check the engine oil level if it is below the min.
triple check the harness was plugged in correctly, i had a code 22 when i did my swap, turned out i had some of the harness incorrectly plugged back in
check your oil pressure switch and make sure it has the correct wiring, i had the wrong wire connected to my oil pressure switch and i had vtec but it redlined at 6800rpms. double check EVERYTHING!!
