I just got my defi-d boost gauge today and it's reading 2psi of boost. Was the gauge calibrated wrong or will it zero out when I install it and run it?

hmm.. well mine returns to zero everytime i shut my car off i think i read somewhere tho that it shouldn't be a problem..might have even been in the instructions themselves. hook it up and test it out, its a pretty easy install

 

I know it's easy to install, I already have one. This is a new one but it shows 2psi and it's still in the box.

 

It's fine. Alot of Defi gauges come like that. Every time you power the gauge up it will do a self-diagnosis check and sweep across the whole gauge.

 

I know about defi gauges, I have an oil press gauge by them. This one is a boost gauge and is mechanical, will it still do a check???

 

From what I've read about.. it should.
