I was curious why it would be a problem to shift under 5k w/o the valves adjusted?

this coming from a guy that blew up his motor ignoring the ticking...

trust me, just rev high and if u get a chance... mix some two stroke fuel(oil and gas) and throw that in.

No kidding. Some people like my self included, when someone tells me something, especially after asking for help, usually take peoples comments seriously. If you are going to give false info you should at least say you are joking at the end of you post.

I dont know what the hell that dude is taling about....shifting below 5k ruins valves? Thats a load of ****. Its not going to hurt anything immediately...but in the long run it could wear on your cam lobes a little. But it should be fine for a while. Are you sure its the valves and not the injectors...its sorta hard to pinpoint where its coming from when the engine is running. I mean when the engine is running the valves, injectors, and dizzy are all ticking at once. The best way to pinpoint if its the injectors is to take out the starter fuse and turn it over...youll hear the injectors ticking...but that doesnt mean anything because all honda injectors tick.

BTW-Valves arent that hard to adjust at all. But if you take it somewhere to get it done it could cost a good bit...so i suggest buying some feeler gauges and doing it yourself.
