trying to buy one from a guy said its darton sleeved i want to know how to tell if its been resleeved

only way i can see is to take the head off.

 

well the head is off but any distinctive way i can tell like a stamp or something

 

get a pic of it

i cant tell if thats sleeved of if thats a block guard

 

that's a block guard around some stock sleeves.

BTW, wtf kind of coolant was he running? that looks fugly.

As autotek said, those are stock sleeves, with what looks like a Nuformz blockguard.

You should be able to distinguish between the aluminum outer sleeve and the inner iron liner, so the top there should be one circle surrounded by another.

call honda up and ask for original sleev thickness and get urself a ruler and measure the head you wanna buy see how much different....you should ask him about the the sleeved thickness and who make it....sleeved usually thicker than original so hopefully this help

would this be the stock sleeves ur talking about cuz that how they are

 

that looks like a stock sleeves with blockguard... doesnt look like darton sleeves... its def. a blockguard...darton looks like this

Yeah thats how the stock sleeves will look, yeah and the pics works now so it definitely is stock sleeves w/ blockguard.

 

Easiest way to tell if it is sleeves, check to see if there is a small line where the sleeves meet eachother between #1 & 2, 2& & 3, 3 & 4. Get a better pic. That pic looks like stock sleeves with our blockguard installed............

 

his one doesnt have the small line...were the sleeves meet eachother...
