Default speedometer just stop working

OK, so I was runnning hard and slammed third to bark the tires and now the speedometer doesn't work. Not sure where I should check first since this is my first honda.
It has a JDM b16a swap done and I haven't even looked to see where it might be (it's dark out and I got no flash light) So any ideas would be helpfull,
I'm guessing it's where the wire hooks to the engine because everytime one went out on any of my other cars it was in the dash and tapping the dash fixed it (or at least made it read for a moment)

Oh yeah...also, the car has an HT18S twin scroll turbo. I'm looking at adding some nos just for fun, nothing big, just a 50 shot or something like that. There anything special to consider when adding nos to a turbocharged engine? Thanks

Your VSS probably slipped out on either the tranny side or dash side. I believe yours is electrical and not mechanical, just check ontop of the tranny near the where the bellhousing and engine meet for a wire coming out of the top. If its pluged in, then pull your dash apart and check there. If not, its possible your speedo took a crap, but its unlikely. - Darrell BTW the search function will return more results, search for ' VSS '

Maybe the cable broke. 1st gen b16's have a mechanical speedo. Maybe the vss came loose.

alright, so I looked and found it pretty easy, the cable feeding into the vss isn't connected and looks like it might of broke from inside
can this be fixed or do I need a new vss, and if so do I need a new cable to run into the dash?

check the VSS either from the tranny or from back of the gauge cluster, I had the same problem, the VSS was out from back of the gauge cluster

Naw, Looks like the cable actually snapped mid way between the vss plug and the fire wall...guess I need to just replace the whole thing
