Default Pardon my ignorance...

But why are Type Rs so valuable to thieves? They're awsome cars and I want one, but what makes it get stolen so much more than anything else. Just curious.

Because almost every single R-specific part is some form of cosmetic or performance related upgrade for all other Integras and Civics.

Kendall said it best......but i would lke to add that the turnaround for selling the parts is even better. There is always someone looking to upgrade to R parts... . Also...if you have evaR went for a ride in a hatch with an R motor you'll certainly understand

As well as the fact that if you were to turn around and sell all the parts off the R individually you would collect a total sale of close to 35,000 bucks. Just an interesting fact about the worth of our R's.

perhaps another reason the cops cars are slower..... and can t get up to an R on the street....

in germany the car is very rare.... but the car thieving quotes are not that high. here are just audis, bmw and mercedes are stolen. not "shitty" honda civics with trunk.....

They must have some slow *** cop cars in Germany, here in the states, cops are patrolling around in Cameros and Mustangs. **** even their Caprices aren't that slow.

$35,000??!?!? No way. IMO here's what a thief would probably get for a stolen ITR.

Mota - 3000
Suspension - 1500
Interior - 1000
Other Misc. Parts - 1000

That's well under 35g, still a lot of money though. That's why thieves want them so much.

how do you get 35000 from steeling a r? why wouldnt a person just buy an r and sell the parts for 35000

the parts sure are worth alot though i willcompare them to a gsr integra 2000
gsr type r
seats 350 1000
head 450 900
tranny 500 900
brake/susp. 250 800
wheels 350 500
exhaust 20?? 200
lip (none) 100
cf dash acc. (none) 300

*edit* gsr spoiler 50, type r spoiler 150

WTF no its not. A theif wont get nearly as much money out of a type R than the owner paid for it. How is that worth more?
