ok my car runs fine and everything is smooth but it wont rev past 3000 rpms. it acts like the rev limiter is kicking in at 3000 rpms. what should i do? please help me soon i need this fixed by tomaro.

does that slip or what? i havtn takin it off. also somebody told me the dizzy? could that be it?

 

Probably means you have multiple codes......I believe if you are running with any serious codes, it will do that to protect the engine.

 

so should i unplug the battery to reset the ecu or what?

 

I would start with checking the codes!

its the dizzy so if anyone had a obd0 dizzy for my b16 let me know. i need one ASAP

My igniter caused that. Been through 3 remans already. Just but the whole distributor. The igniter is about 90 the dist is around 160-70.

 

my input. its in limp mode. i think. i think limp wont rev past 3k.."limp home" mode.

 

the problem is in to places 1 if u converted your car from tbi to mpfi it might be crank pos sensor in the dis. or the other place might be down in the ecu if the check engine light does not go out after the start up then the ecu might be bad,or it could be the connector on the ecu pin b10 b12 i think if u coverted your car to mpfi u had to swap two wires form c1 c2 and put them in b 10 b 12 so u might have them backwards or in the wrong pin place...or they might came out the conn

 

crank angle sensor in the dizzy doesnt let you rev past 3000rpm...
so check it out ..
