Tig pulsar... Is it worth it.
I have a Lincoln pro175. And can get beads damn need perfect most of teh time, but sometimes when i cannot rest my arm on something its hard the beads tends to get too much heat. Will a tig pulsar help keep it consistent? Thanks for the help guys.
pulsed tig would be good for thin materials. When I do work on small tubing, anything from 1/2" to 1" tube, I'll have to use pulsed to get it, having it at a constant amperage puts too much heat in the surrounding metal. You should only really use it for very thin materials. As a rule of thumb, if your base metal is getting red hot and you can't get a decent puddle set up, and you're just burning the material, then you need to switch to pulse.
