Power window wont roll up, help please!
I have a 93 prelude si. I never had any problems with the windows, they never seemed like they were about to die or anything. One day the passanger side window switch wouldnt roll the window down. I tried the driver switch and it worked fine. Pass. window rolled down. Now, it wont roll back up with either switch. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be? Driver window still works fine. tia
the motor to the window maybe or it might the the connector at the bottom of the switch, put the switch out of your door and see if the connection is good. If it is good then it may be a fuse.

All I can think of is check the fuses are ok then see if there's power at the motor when you operate the switch, if you find power at the motor and it still dosn't work then you probably need a new motor, again check all connections to switch and motor make sure power is at the switch as well. I have posted a link of a diagram of a 93 si power window it may help you if you need to get at things.

Sounds like yours is just needing the runners cleaning out and re-apply some new light grease on them, also a light spray of silicone around the rubber seals helps cut down on friction when the window enters the seals and keeps the window sliding smoothly with less resistance.

Two probable causes on that are loose or bad connection in the circuit, or a bad switch with contacts worn or bad. Check all the connections for firmness and make sure wiring is in good condition from motor to switch up to fusebox, if not found check the switch itself try giving it a good spray inside with some electrical contact cleaner, if that fails a new switch is the next step.

First check all connections are good, if you have power at the window motor when the switch is operated it seems like your motor is burnt out or jammed, try giving it a sharp tap to jar it into action, if it's jammed it may just free it, failing that then sorry but it's a new motor needed.

I've taken my switch apart for the same prob, and here';s what I found:
the contacts that are cast into the plastic melt into it, causeing a loss of connection by the swinging arm-like piece that moves and completes the circut when you move the switch. You can bend the arm piece(you'll see what I'm talking about if you take it apart) but it could stop working again...my pass. side was fixed, then stopped again and will only work if you wiggle and jiggle it just correctly. BUT, be careful if you take it apart there are springs and small stuff to lose...good luck!!
