REAL WEIRD CEL light problem - goes on, off for 3 seconds, then on again **b18cR in EG**
jdm type R engine. first, CEL is going on for VTEC solenoid. A4 and D6 are already spliced for bypass vtec oil pressure switch. so u run the solenoid switch and connect that to A4. CEL disappears. you run the car, pulls on VTEC. 10 minutes after test driving, CEL pops up again. VTEC doesnt kick in anymore.
here is the WEIRD part - when you turn the key into ignition, CEL turns off, then 3 seconds later, CEL turns on again.
is this something weird? shouldnt the CEL stay on the whole time rather than turn on, off for 3 seconds, then on again? btw, could you guys take pix of how you spliced the A4's and the D6's to bypass the pressure switch.. most likely, im not doing a good job like you guys are.. thanks

I FIXED IT!!! ok, i dont know how many people use a paper clip as a "jumper" for the A4 into D6, but that's what i did. so for all you guys that feel lazy about splicing or soldering, try my paper clip method. am i the only one that has done this method? let everyone know your experience if you have tried the paper clip method.

I think thats a lil dangerous to leave like that. If it touches bare metal you can fry that circuit.
really? anyone using the paper clip method that i just mentioned? any problems? any truth to this speculation?
